Gawd Bless Gremlins

I was just about to finish up the reorganization of my desktop tonight when I fired up all the peripherals and the machine. My machine had a little trouble recognizing the drive I have all my audio stuff on but after a few minutes, I got it all working. However, my hard drive with tons of video on it was not being recognized. After about a half hour of troubleshooting, I noticed the drive is clicking. Fawk! And, of course, since there are gigabytes of data on there, I don't have a backup.

This is the second damn hard drive I've had go out on me and I'm getting sick of losing data. I am in the market for a more robust RAID solution where I can auto-copy and sync my data across drives such that if one of them go down, I can still recover. Who knew I had to turn my home PC into a damn data center!

The Hidden Truf

I have a desk in my home that has been on loan for quite sometime from my friend. I've used it as a computer desk, nightstand, gaming console center, and overall storage area. It's now been recommissioned as a computer desk again as I've dismantled the gawd-like Jerker office desk I had to make room for the baby.

Because of the amount of peripherals I use, I've been looking at a way to allow me to organize them easily without taking up additional desktop space. Alas, Gawd has answered me! I found this cool website on how people mount computer peripherals under their desks using pegboard, wire, and some dowels.

Human Trash Collector

How is it possible that I can amass such a fortune of crap in in my home? I'm going too figure that out this weekend since I am going to clean up the office in preparation for the baby room. I have to move my entire office out of there as best I can. Fun times. I am already daunted y th fact I have paper everywhere even though I own a high quality shredder .

I'm going to put a lot of stuff on e-Bay or craigslist.org. If you're interested in any of it, message me and I'll give you a link/website that will list the stuff available.

Do You Do Me?

Last night was a night of good stuff. Brat Pack had a decent crowd and we had a lot of fun up on stage. My suggestion for my character The Geek was "You can stop time" as a superpower I used it as any good geek would and would freeze time with the right female to have my things go my way (with or without her) . We rocked it with a battle rap somewhere in there regarding different kinds of spray paint. Insane!

The Genre show afterwards was awesome as well. We were able to pull off a few scene with mixtures of different genres but yet we were able to make the scenes work and get them all tied up at the end.

After the show, I BSed with a friend of mine working the boof (yes, boof) and he gave me a mondo compliment regarding me being perfect for a major sketch/improv show going on in the city. Seeing that I really respect his opinion since he's seen show after show for such a long time and has seen plenty of awesome actors, to have him think highly enough of me to be on par with some of the best actors in the city was a massive ego boost. Yes, it was just an opinion but it's one that I will keep as a feather in my hat.

So, a night of accomplishments was in the cards at this poker table! Thanks to all of you who came out and rawked with us!

Sunday Sunday Sunday!

As a kid, I used to be in awe of the thought of going to see a monster truck rally. They would get that gravelly voiced guy to say something like "This weekend. At Joe and Harry Freeman Colosseum. BIGFOOT! GRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAVEEEEDIGGER! TERMINAAAATOOOR! All your favorite monster trucks for just 5 bucks! Sunday! Freeman Colosseum. Kids under 5 get in free!" I would pine away for the day I'd get to see these Goliaths of car crushing perform. I'm still waiting .

After watching this video, I think I can wait longer. It looks like one of the most boring events to be at unless you want to make your own or are under the age of 10.
